The article presents an overview of common trends in the evolution rail operations control as well factors stipulating existing approaches to design Rail Operations Control Centres (ROCCs) around world. Based on comparative analysis various ROCCs and traffic parameters, authors propose some classification global models. outlines further steps towards a more detailed terms their effectiveness by introducing number additional criteria performance indicators be taken into account.
